The top 3 goons from Gwinnett County dropped their second studio album on January 27th, called Culture. As with every major release, we’ll be breaking down the production credits behind the album/mixtape; from the known producers and lesser known producers, songwriters, and engineers.

Does Young Metro need an introduction by now?

However, for those not familiar with G Koop, he’s a producer and musician based out of Oakland. Koop is a sample replay extraordinaire who’ve frequently worked with another favorite of mine, Jake One (he can vouch for Koop here). Also to contributed to last year’s  Khaled banger “I Got The Keys” featuring Future and Jay-Z alongside Southside and Jake One.

Koop speaks on the creation of the beat with DJ Booth:

The sample pack for ‘Bad and Boujee’ was one that I did in January of this past year. I sent it to Metro Boomin and from that sample pack we did ‘Bad & Boujee,’ and also 21 Savage’s ‘Ocean Drive’ from the ‘Savage Mode’ album. My elements to those songs were made in the same week.”
